Día de los Muertos celebration in participation with State Representative Analise Ortiz, State Senator Flavio Bravo, State Senator Anna Hernandez, and State Representative Quanta Crews. Featuring live music, a community ofrenda, and food. Dr. Sandoval will be providing a mini-lecture on the history of Day of the Dead.

Wake Forest University
At the invitation of the Lam Museum of Anthropology at Wake Forest University, Dr. Sandoval will deliver a multimedia lecture titled “Day of the Dead: From Ancient Ritual to Hollywood Spectacle.” This three-day residency includes educational activities with the Organization of Latin American Students, guest teaching upper-division courses in the Anthropology and Spanish departments, and community engagement events.
